It’s honestly horrifying that it’s passed off as romantic. Imagine never being able to retire. No new books published since the 1960s to even talk about. AND she’s the only woman on campus, so her eternal companions are teenage ghost boys, two elderly teachers, and her lover. Forever.
I enjoyed this, even though most of the books would not be anything I'm interested in. But the way you ruthlessly plowed through your KU library is an inspiration to us all.
Honestly, one of my fave episodes. We only talk about the book for half the episode and then it basically inspires a whole other tangent of thinky thinks. Also we have a LOT of fun talking about the book because it’s ridiculous.
